UK Accelerates Electric Vehicle Adoption with £692 Million Investment in Charging Infrastructure

The UK’s electric vehicle infrastructure is set for a major boost with £692 million allocated to over 120 approved charging projects. FairCharge has played a pivotal role in advocating for fair and accessible charging solutions, ensuring that the expansion benefits both urban and rural areas. These projects, totaling £692 million, include substantial investments such as £100 million for a charger network across Wales and £68 million for West Sussex. This surge in infrastructure development aligns with government initiatives to promote Electric-emission vehicles, reinforcing the commitment to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2035.
