This week, over 40 MPs and Peers from across the political divide signed our letter calling on the Government to #AxeThePavementTax and equalise the 20% VAT rate on public charging in line with the 5% rate on home charging.
This unfair and illogical tax penalises those living in terraced housing, flats and apartment blocks, who cannot access the 5% VAT rate for home charging and are unable to access more competitive home charging tariffs.
With 38% of UK households without a driveway, FairCharge is calling on the Government to change this in the upcoming Spring Budget.
