The Spring Budget, announced by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt today, was a missed opportunity for the Government to reiterate its support to the EV transition and to encourage the switch to electric vehicles.
Despite the overwhelming support for our calls to equalise the VAT rate for EV public charging (20%) in line with that for home charging (5%), this simple policy recommendation was visibly absent from the measures announced.
