The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has surged due to rising fuel prices and stricter clean air regulations. In the UK, 127,492 new EVs were registered in the seven months leading to July 2022, representing a 50% increase compared to the previous year. However, the expansion of public charging infrastructure has not kept up with the sales growth, leading to long queues and congestion at busy charging stations when multiple EVs arrive simultaneously.
