FairCharge Pushes Back as UK Government Considers Hybrid Car Policy U-Turn

Writer: FairChargeFairCharge

The UK Government is considering relaxing its ban on hybrids, allowing more models to remain on sale until 2035. This shift comes as automakers warn that strict EV sales targets are creating financial strain. FairCharge strongly opposes this potential reversal. Founder Quentin Willson criticized the move, arguing that traditional hybrids still rely heavily on petrol engines and do little to reduce emissions and that allowing these vehicles to count toward the ZEV mandate would be a step backwards.
