We were delighted to be invited by Baroness Worthington and New Automotive to join a panel of stakeholders from across the EV industry in Parliament to discuss the Government's proposed ZEV mandate.
The mandate will set targets for a percentage of manufacturers' new car and van sales to be zero emission each year from 2024. It will also include an emissions credit trading system for new EV sales. The Government is currently consulting on how this will work in practice.
It was great to represent the voice of drivers at the panel, and to raise why lower income families must not be left behind in the switch to EVs. We look forward to sharing our response to the consultation with Government shortly.
