FairCharge in The Sun on why govt plans for pay-per-mile charges for EVs could be a political hand grenade.

Quentin Willson, argues against a proposed pay-per-mile road tax for electric vehicles (EVs), warning it could lead to "huge annual bills" for drivers. He criticises the idea as premature and notes that blaming EVs for declining fuel duty revenue is misleading since EV adoption is still slow, Revenue loss is minimal compared to overall fuel and vehicle taxes. Willson suggests the push for pay-per-mile could be a tactic to quietly introduce such a tax under false pretences.
