The UK Government will reaffirm its commitment to the 2030 phase-out of internal combustion engines and will proceed with the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate from 2024. Manufacturers will be required to sell a certain proportion of EVs, with fines for non-compliance. The targets are set at 22% of car production as EVs by 2024, 80% by 2030, and 100% by 2035.
